Over the past three years, Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) has awarded over £90,000 in grants, supporting more than 40 individuals and organisations to deliver over 60 projects for the local community.
Thanks to a further round of funding from central Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, MBC is delighted to be able to offer a further £30,000 in 2025/26. Applications for the latest round open on Wednesday 30 April 2025.
The Creative Communities Grants range between £500 and £2,000 and are open to those delivering projects focused specifically in Maidstone Town Centre. The grants are designed to create a sense of pride in the town and allow an individual or group to take the first steps towards getting a project off the ground. The latest round of support funding will be awarded in August 2025.
Angela Woodhouse, MBC Director of Strategy, Insight & Governance said:
These Grants are a wonderful way to enable an artistic, creative or community vision to come to life, and we have seen some brilliant projects over the past three years that have really made a difference. If your idea could help build Pride in Place in Maidstone, we would love to hear from you.
